Free SFX sources.

Post by NoobFilmworks on Fri Jul 23, 2010 1:26 pm

Because you have to pay for most sound effects nowadays.
Something which I don't like to do (because I'm greedy XP)

So I'm providing you with a couple of sites where you can get your SFX for free.
They're all virusfree. This I know because I ALWAYS get my SFX on these sites:
- www.findsounds.com (Huge amount of free SFX)
- www.partnersinrhyme.com (Big amount of free SFX, some require payment)
- www.soundbible.com (Big amount of free SFX, quality isn't always that great)
- www.beemp3.com (Big amount of free SFX, confusing site to use)

You probably already knew some of these.
If you didn't, then you're welcome.

Enjoy your sound effects.

Yeah, I do that sometimes too.
But I'm usually too lazy to browse through videos endlessly trying to find the proper sound effect

Where do you get those epic dramatic/opera music from for trailers and dramatic scenes in your videos, lol? Like Kingdom of Misthalin?

I just browsed through YouTube and found a video with a pretty big amount of trailer music samples.
I searched for the full version of a couple.
When I was satisfied with what I'd found, I would use my YouTube Downloader to get the song.

This way is the only for me to make sure I don't get viruses in my song downloads (unlike LimeWire, ftl <.<)

But in short: I used YouTube Downloader to rip the audio from the video, then converting it.
Very useful for both getting SFX and songs Very Happy
